There are seven natural springs (Epta Piges), the water of which creates a river. The water of the river is transferred, through an artificial underground tunnel, to an artificial lake. This tunnel was built in 1920 by the Italians, in order to facilitate the transfer of water to the artificial lake and the water supply of the nearby settlement of Kolymbia, to the NE.
